Hello & Welcome to Meadow Creek Farm and my country kitchen. This is where I make all of our soaps and natural bath products. Over the past 60 years that the farm has been in our family, there
have been a lot changes in our everyday life. Machines once drawn by a team of horses have been replaced with tractors with large horse-powered engines and the cook stove has a place of honor near the microwave.
The process of making soap remains the
same, however, only the ingredients have changed. Exotic oils have replaced many of the fats, and healing herbs grains and butters are added to provide additional healing
properties. After I made my first batch of soap from an old family recipe I was hooked. Thanks to modern technology, I have access to an unlimited amount of information on healing herbs, aromatherapy, and essential oils. As a registered nurse, I can draw on my medical background to choose the ingredients that can be the most beneficial and make soaps that are suitable for all ages and skin types. I am constantly learning and totally enjoy making handcrafted soaps and bath products. There will always be something new or improved in my soap kitchen.
