Goat Milk Soaps

All of our soaps are handmade the old-fashioned way in small 6-8 lb. batches using the cold process kettle method, incorporating only the most natural ingredients available. This assures an extraordinarily mild bar of soap that is rich in glycerin. Glycerin is a natural moisturizer, which is removed by commercial soap manufacturers, leaving you to bathe with an inferior, skin-drying product.

If you do not see the word “soap” on the label, there is a good chance that the product you bought is a detergent bar disguised as true soap. Products labeled as beauty bars”, facial bars” and “body bars” are in reality laden with chemicals that dry the skin.

What makes or soap different from other handmade soap? We use two ingredients that have been used for centuries, Goats Milk & Shea Butter, which makes the soap creamy and beneficial to the skin.

Shea Butter is a very important ingredient in our soaps. A luxurious, solid butter derived from the African Karaite tree, it retains the moisture and elasticity of the skin. In addition, is a natural sun block and anti-oxidant. It contains Vitamins A & E and is easily absorbed without feeling greasy. It can be used alone as a moisturizer and in France it is used to treat diaper rash. It is very healing and soothing to many types of skin irritations and is gentle enough for all skin types. We use it in all of our soaps and lotions.

Goat Milk has been used for centuries as a beauty product. Scientists now know that it has a pH level that is close to the pH level of the skin, making it easy to be absorbed. It provides moisture and is gentle to even the driest of skins. The alpha-hydroxy acids found in milk have rejuvenating and skin-softening properties. We add powdered goat
milk to provide extra richness and softening agents to our own rich, cow’s milk produced
daily at Meadow Creek Farm. Note that two of our soaps do not contain goat milk: Honeyed Carrot and Sportsman.

We pride ourselves in using quality natural ingredients food grade oils and fats, healing herbs, teas, moisturizing butters and of course, milk We use various additives, such as honey, dried herbs grains, ground nuts to give each soap its special qualities. We scent the soaps with fragrance or essential oils. No chemicals, dyes, or perfumes are ever used. We use Vitamin E such as a natural preservative in many of our bath products.

We are more than happy to accommodate any special soap needs you may have or make a specialized basket with you choice of products. We have specialty soaps for those with special skin care needs and unscented soaps for those with extra-sensitive skin or
allergies to scents.

Floral Scents

China Rain: scented with one of my favorite fragrance oils that turns the soap a pale mauve color. Has a fresh floral scent.

Jasmine: a pale beige soap with a smooth floral scent used as a base in many perfumes.

Lavender: a calm & relaxing scent enhanced with dried lavender petals, scented with lavender essential oil that is soothing and balancing. Treat yourself to some wonderful lavender aromatherapy.

Rose Petals: We added crushed rose petals to act as a mild exfoliant and to enhance the wonderful romantic rose scent.

Herbal Scents

Lavender Chamomile: has a very relaxing scent that is perfect at the end of a stressful day.

Patchouli Complexion Bar: This is a wonderful soap for problem skin as patchouli oil is known to be mildly astringent, antiseptic, and useful in treating skin inflammations. It has a woodsy, earthy, scent and is often used in perfumes. Often called the “love scent.”

Rosemary Mint: This soap has a wonderful energizing scent, reinforced by the addition of dried rosemary and peppermint leaves. Rosemary essential oil is stimulating to the skin and Peppermint essential oil is invigorating and soothing to irritated skin after a long day in the sun.

Sandalwood: Has a very sensual earth scent favored by men and women.

Vanilla Musk: The fragrance oil, a blend of vanilla and musk, colors this soap a dark brown and gives it a wonderful spicy blend of vanilla and musk that is a favorite of both men and women.

Oatmeal Soaps

Honey Almond Oatmeal: This soap is especially formulated for those with dry itchy skin. Grapeseed, Avocado, and Wheat Germ oils provide the TLC needed to help heal sensitive, dry irritated skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Oatmeal, Milk, & Honey: This soap is wonderful for dry, irritated skin. Oatmeal soothes dry itchy skin. Milk is a wonderful moisturizer, and to protect the skin from dryness, we add honey, which also adds a warm honey scent and color

Oatmeal Spice: -This soap also contains ground oatmeal to soothe and heal dry itchy skin. Spices and essential oils add a warm, spicy scent and color the soap a rich brown

Simply Oatmeal: Soothing oatmeal in a goat milk base, unscented

Unscented Soaps
These soaps are especially for those with extra sensitive skin or allergic to scent.

Calendula: -This soap is unscented and made with calendula infused oil and calendula petals which is very soothing for babies sensitive skin.

Simply Oatmeal: Oatmeal gives this goat milk soap extra soothing and healing qualities.

Soaps for Men
These soaps are some of men's favorites, but women
will also enjoy their clean masculine scent.

Bay Rum: a spicy masculine scent that reminds you of an old fashioned barber shop.

Spicy Lime: similar to the fresh clean scent of after shave

Specialty Soaps
These soaps have additives that give extra healing or
cleansing properties that make them extra special.

Achy Days Soap: A magical blend of an old favorite, wintergreen, and clary sage with the newly discovered emu oil. Allow the lather to remain on the skin a little longer than usual when bathing to allow the pain-relieving qualities of wintergreen and emu oils to penetrate the skin and ease away you aches and pain, and tiredness in your joints and muscles.

Lavender & Rosemary Shampoo & Body Bar: These two essential oils are a classic pairing. The lavender is soothing and refreshing, the rosemary gently stimulates. Use this bar to wash both your hair and body- while the herbs and aloe cleanse and condition, the castor and jojoba oils moisturize and soften.

Gardener’s Grits: gets its deep cleaning power from cornmeal and softeners from jojoba oil. Has a fresh clean scent of lemongrass and sage.

Southern Citrus Kitchen Soap: The soap easily removes strong orders, such as garlic, onions and, fish. It is scented with lime, orange, pink grapefruit, and lemon essential oils and lemon peel. It leaves a fresh citrus scent and jojoba oil moisturizes and protects the hands.

Tail Waggers: A blend of citronella, pennyroyal, cedar, and eucalyptus with a touch of jojoba oil repel fleas and gives your pet a silky soft coat.

Hints & Tips

Store soaps in a cool dry place. Do not place in airtight container. Let them scent your linens, closet, and drawers.

Keep soaps out of the water in order to make them last longer. Place them on a soap dish that allows the water to drain away from the soap.

The scent of the soap may fade away in time, but when it becomes wet, the water will release the scent, and you can enjoy its wonderful fragrance.

All soaps are ant-bacterial, but the new “ant-bacterial” soaps have a stronger and longer lasting anti-bacterial action that can be harmful, destroying the normal bacteria on the skin. The skin is the body’s first line of defense against illness and disease and it is important to keep it as healthy and youthful as possible.
